    During election s for the Constituent Assembly of India, the Congress wins most of the elected seats and Hindu electorate seats, while the League wins control of a large majority of Muslim electorate seats
    the League wins 425 out of 496 seats reserved for Muslims (and about 89.2% of Muslim votes) on a policy of creating an independent state of Pakistan, and with an implied threat of secession if this was not granted
    The League wins most Muslim seats in the election s, and Jinnah launches the Direct Action campaign of strikes and protests to achieve "Pakistan", which degenerated into communal violence across India
